OREA Hotel Monty, a unique hotel with a rich history and a beautiful view, is located in a wooded area near the centre of Marianské Lázne. This location was known in the early nineteenth century as a Friendship Look-out Point where people gathered and enjoyed their pastimes.

Description

In 1857, there was a pavilion overlooking the town of Marianské Lázne on the site where the OREA Hotel Monty stands today. The pavilion was built as a tribute to the Greek king Otta, a prominent guest of the local spas, and was named the King Otta Highlands. In 1886, Gaspar Ott opened the Egenlander coffee house there, which later became very famous. About fifteen years later the coffee house was renovated and a new luxury hotel was opened. In 1945 the hotel was re-named Monty after British Marshal Bernard Montgomery.

Today, the resort is a great place for family vacations (it boasts a Baby friendly certificate), sports enthusiasts or those just wanting to relax and enjoy a wellness holiday.

GOLF - Royal Golf Club Mariánské Lázně
The oldest golf course in the Czech Republic was inaugurated by English king Edward VII in 1905. The golf course was built according to the model of Scottish and Irish park courses of the time. The beautiful mature landscaped park, gently undulating terrain and fresh air make playing at the Royal Golf Club Mariánské Lázně a real pleasure. The atmosphere is completed by an English-style clubhouse.

Come and ride a bike through the Slavkov Forest, enjoy the view from one of the lookout towers and refresh yourself with fresh water from our natural resources. We provide free bicycles and will be happy to advise you on cycling routes.

DOWNHILL SKIING
The local ski resort has a unique location near the colonnade with a beautiful view of the city. The resort offers downhill and slalom slopes for day and night skiing. In the winter months the artificial snow is an indisputable advantage. Hours of operation: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. There is a ski school and ski equipment rental.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKI TRAILS
The golf course resort offers a dense network of groomed trails. The standard circuit length is 2.3 km. The route is ideal for both advanced skiers and families. There are other marked trails linked to the golf course where you can experience the beauty of the Slavkov Forest Protected Landscape Area.
