Educational trail Kuky's forest

You can head to the educational trail Kuky's Forest, located 5 km from our hotel. The trail has eight stops, and at each one, you can find activities such as playing with water mills, Hergota's little house, and more. The main theme of Kuky's trail is to teach children to recognize wildlife and to know how to handle waste and its decomposition.

Žákova Hora Nature Reserve

Visit the Primeval Forest in Vysočina, located 16 km from the hotel, beyond the village of Herálec. The Primeval Forest in Vysočina is an educational trail, 2.6 km long. The most accessible route is from the village of Cikháj along the blue hiking trail. A full-day excursion option is the thirteen-kilometer route of the Tisůvka-Žákova hora trail, which takes you through the heart of the Žďárské vrchy, past the Cikháj glassworks, to the rocky summit of Tisůvka, past the source of the Svratka River to Žákova hora, and over Fryšavský kopec to the European watershed between the North and Black Seas.

Sculptures by Michal Olšiak

Michal Olšiak has created sculptures of animals and strange creatures throughout the Žďárské vrchy area, so you can set out to explore. These include sculptures like Mamlas, Mammoth, Boundary Stone, Lion, Eagle, and more. The nearest sculptures are located in Žďár nad Sázavou, which is 23 km from the hotel.

Glassworks Karlov, Škrdlovice

Visit the Glassworks of Jaroslav Svoboda – AGS, located in Karlov, 18 km from the hotel. The glassworks can be visited on weekdays from 6 am to 1 pm, where you can see the craftsmen at work. You will have the opportunity to explore the glassworks and an extensive showroom. As part of the tours, you can even try glass painting. It's a great experience for both children and adults!

Exhibition Hall and Karafiat's Beetles

In the nearby Jimramov, which is 15 km from the hotel, you will have the chance to see a unique exhibition of Karafiát's beetles.

Model kingdom Žďár nad Sázavou

In Žďár nad Sázavou, you have a unique opportunity for that. The Model Kingdom of Railways is located 23 km from the hotel, and you can see models of the surrounding area, such as Pernštejn Castle or the UNESCO monument in Žďár nad Sázavou – the Church of St. John of Nepomuk on Zelená Hora.

Gothic fortifications Polička

Polička is a town with a beautiful square and also with Gothic fortifications, which are freely accessible to the public. Massive stone walls with 19 towers, spanning a length of 1220 meters, encircle the entire historic core of the city and are among the best-preserved fortifications in Central Europe. Tours are available from May to October.

Horácké muzeum 

In Nové Město na Moravě, you can visit the Horácké Museum, which offers several permanent exhibitions. These include, for example, the production and development of skis and skiing, glassmaking, the mill from Vír, and more. The Horácké Museum also organizes museum nights or weekend exhibitions on various topics.

By bus: Stop at Milovy right by the hotel > Nové Město na Moravě center

Horácké Museum also includes the Haunted Underground, located in the cellar of the Horácké Museum. It consists of six stops inspired by local legends, complemented by special lighting and sound effects. The Haunted Underground is open from May to October.

Ruins of Štarkov Castle

Located among the rocks on a hill above Nový Jimramov, 10 km from the hotel. There are several overhangs suitable for overnight stays in the rocks, as well as a few crevice-like caves. You will also find rock climbing routes here.

Brewery Rychtar

For beer enthusiasts, we offer a visit to the Rychtář Brewery located in Hlinsko, 20 km from the hotel. The brewery conducts tours, which are divided into two groups: small (45 min., without tasting) and large (90 min., with a tasting at the self-tap in the mini-brewery and a film screening).

Brewery Polička

Visit the nearby brewery located in Polička, 20 km from the hotel. The brewery tour is available for groups of 5 to 15 people. As part of the tour, beer tasting is also possible. Brewery tours are only available for individuals aged 18 and above.
