| Stachelberg Artillery Fortress (49 km from the hotel) The largest modern fortress in Bohemia and one of the largest in Europe. This unfinished defensive complex was designed to hold up to 1,000 soldiers and fire over 200 shells in a minute. With a guide, you will venture into over a kilometre of corridors and halls, up to 50 metres underground. On the surface you can see the bunkers that have been built. There is also the Eliška lookout tower and a playground, making the trip suitable for families with children. |
