Giant Mountains

The mining nature trail in Svatý Petr will take you through the remains of ancient metal mining in the Krkonoše Mountains and offer an easy walk full of history and nature. On the approximately 1.4 km long trail you will learn how silver, copper and lead were mined in this area since the 14th century. The trail starts at the "Svatý Petr - Turning" bus turntable and leads through the picturesque valley along the Svatopetrský Brook, where there are information panels and stops with views. From the OREA Resort Horal, you can easily walk to the trailhead - the walk takes about 20 minutes and leads past the lower cable car station. The walk is also suitable for families with children and less fit hikers.
