Where does the route go?
From the centre of Mariánské Lázně, the route heads uphill towards the forest park above the town. The first section passes the Geological Museum and continues past the Kamzík complex to Pstruží Lake, where it’s worth taking a short break. From there, the route turns towards the Krakonoš complex, Boheminium Park and the Sculpture Fairy-Tale Paradise. The final stretch leads back down into the town.
Although the circuit is short, right at the start you’ll face a climb to higher ground above the town. Your reward, however, is a series of peaceful woodland sections, nature stops and the chance to combine your cycle ride with a visit to the miniatures at Boheminium Park or the fairy-tale sculptures at Krakonoš.

The Geological Park is situated on the slope of a beech forest above the Municipal Museum building. The outdoor exhibition showcases rocks from the Slavkov Forest and illustrates how the geological bedrock is linked to the landscape and local vegetation. The site covers almost 10 hectares, and the nature trail – which follows the cycle path and the red tourist trail – is approximately 1.5 km long.
Trout Pond is a pleasant spot in the woods, away from the bustling town centre. The path leading to it runs through the valley of Trout Brook, and in summer the pond is used for natural swimming.
Boheminium Park is one of the main attractions in Mariánské Lázně. In the natural grounds near Krakonoš, you’ll find more than seventy models of significant Czech buildings and engineering monuments on a scale of 1:25. However, it’s always best to check the current opening times before visiting.
This sculptural fairy-tale paradise consists of sandstone sculptures depicting scenes from well-known fairy tales and myths. The fairy-tale creatures were created by students at the Secondary School of Sculpture and Stonemasonry in Hořice, under the guidance of the academic sculptor Michal Moravec. You will also find a nativity scene here.
