Please note that OREA never requests sensitive information (such as payment details) via WhatsApp or similar communication platforms. We strongly recommend that you do not respond to such messages and do not click on any links.
If you need help verifying your existing reservation, please contact our reservations department.
At this time, we have no indication that a data breach has occurred through our internal systems.
How to spot phishing
If you have any doubts about the safety of a message, try comparing it to the most common signs of phishing messeges.
- Phishing messages oftenpretend to be from trustworthy institutions. But upon closer inspection, something doesn't add up.
- You can spot them by a suspicious sender name, spelling errors, or urgent calls for immediate action.
- They typically contain links to fake websites that try to appear trustworthy, but the website address looks suspicious (e.g., www.orea.2word.com instead of www.orea.cz).
- Do not open attachments and do not disclose your sensitive information, such as credit card details.
- Please let us know at marketing@orea.cz if anyone has tried to deceive you in our name.
How to deal with phishing
Everyone makes mistakes sometimes. We’ve put together some tips to help you minimize the consequences.
- Change your passwords: Immediately change the passwords for all accounts that may be at risk, especially your email, online banking, and social media accounts. Use a strong and unique password.
- Contact your bank: If you have provided your payment details, notify your bank immediately so that it can block your cards or prevent unauthorized use of your account.
- Report phishing: Notify the Czech Police immediately after discovering the fraud. If you received an email that appeared to be a message from our company, please let us know at marketing@orea.cz.
- For next time: Try to identify the signs of a phishing email that you overlooked the first time. This will help you avoid similar problems in the future.
