Your iPhone or Android
is your room key

Once you have completed your online check-in, you can add your room key to Wallet. Just click on the Wallet icon and your key will be added. The room key will be activated once you have logged in and your room has been assigned. To use your room key, simply place your phone or Apple Watch near the door lock.

To add and use a key in Apple Wallet, you need an iPhone 6S or later, or an iPhone SE (2nd generation) with the latest version of iOS. Optionally, you can also use Apple Watch Series 5 or later or Apple Watch SE with the latest version of watchOS. For Google Wallet, you need a device with Android 9 or higher, NFC enabled, and ideally the latest version of the Google Wallet app.

If you have the option to use the key in Wallet, this option will appear in MyOREA next to your booking.

To activate the key, simply attach your mobile phone or compatible watch to the reader at the door. For Android devices, the phone must be active (display lit) for the key to work.

Yes, you can use both options at the same time.

If you have multiple rooms booked on the same dates, you can have one Wallet Key for your room. Additional people can have their own keys, but they must be added to the reservation at reception. If you have a reservation at the same property for multiple dates, each stay will have its own Wallet key. Only the key for the current stay will always be active after check-in.

In addition to the room, the Wallet Key can also be used to enter other areas where you would otherwise use a physical card - such as the main entrance, elevators, bathrooms or common areas.

You can add your room key to Apple Wallet and use your iPhone or Apple Watch to unlock your room, main entrance, elevators, bathrooms and common areas. It's simple, convenient and secure.

Once the key is added to Apple Wallet on your iPhone or Apple Watch, it's securely stored directly on the device. Apple doesn't see what spaces you enter or when. Your data stays private and secure.

Once you add a key to Apple Wallet on your iPhone, it's automatically added to your paired Apple Watch. Then just put the watch on the reader and the door unlocks.

When Express Mode is on, you don't need to wake or unlock iPhone or Apple Watch. Simply hold your phone up to the reader and the key will activate.

Yes. For iPhone XS, XS Max, XR and later (including iPhone 11 and later), Power Reserve allows you to use the key for up to five hours after the device has been discharged.

Use Find My iPhone to temporarily suspend or deactivate the key in Wallet. Once the device is found, the key can be reactivated. See Apple Support for details.

The key can be used on one iPhone and one paired Apple Watch at the same time. Each guest can have a maximum of two keys. If you change iPhones, the key is removed from the previous device.

Use the Find My Device app to remotely lock, wipe or secure your device.

It depends on the device. In the key settings in Wallet, you can enable or disable the "Require device unlock for use" option. Regardless of this setting, the phone must be active (display lit) for the key to work.
