Referral for spa treatment
Based on a recommendation from your attending or specialist doctor, your GP will issue you with a referral for spa treatment covered by your health insurance and will also recommend either comprehensive or subsidised spa treatment and a suitable spa resort. Exercise your right to choose a spa facility and, if treatment in Mariánské Lázně is recommended, ask your GP to specify the OREA Spa Hotel Cristal Mariánské Lázně (CRISTAL PALACE s. r. o. Mariánské Lázně) when issuing the referral.
Approval of spa treatment
A medical assessor from the health insurance company will assess your application and, if approved, the health insurance company will send it directly to the treatment facility (in the case of comprehensive spa treatment) or to the patient’s address (in the case of subsidised spa treatment). An approved application for comprehensive spa treatment is valid for 3 months from the date of issue by the GP for urgency level II, and for 1 month for urgency level I. For subsidised spa treatment, the validity period is 6 months from the date of issue.
