The Biotop Brno-jih swimming pool is a pleasant place for summer relaxation by the water, for which you do not have to travel far out of town. You can find it in Horní Heršpice, near the Svratka River. In contrast to a traditional swimming pool, the water here is not chemically treated, but purified naturally with the help of aquatic plants, filtration zones and microorganisms.

The area was opened in 2014 as the first public natural bathing biotope in Brno. With grassy areas, a bathing lagoon, children's facilities and refreshments, you can come here for a short refreshment or for a whole summer afternoon.

The main part of the biotope consists of a swimming lagoon divided into a swimming and non-swimming part. The swimming zone has a depth of up to 3 metres, while the shallower part is suitable for less experienced swimmers and supervised children. For the smallest visitors there is a separate wading pool with a depth of up to 40 centimetres.

In addition to swimming, there is also a beach volleyball court. For children, there are play elements and a sandpit.

The swimming pool is located in K Lávka Street in Brno-Horní Heršpice. You can arrive by car, public transport or bicycle. There is a parking lot near the area and there is also a Brno-Vienna cycle path, so you can combine the biotope with a ride.
