Devil's Lake
Devil's Lake is one of the most impressive places in Šumava. Its dark surface and surrounding forests create a mysterious atmosphere that has inspired many a legend. From the OREA Resort Horizont, the lake can be reached comfortably by following the yellow trail, via the Špičácké saddle, in about an hour and a half on foot. The route is approximately 4 km long and leads through shady forest paths with beautiful views. The lake is located in a protected nature reserve, making it an ideal destination for those seeking peace and connection with nature. Families with children or recreational tourists can also make the trip.
