Japanese garden in Sněžné

Highlands

The Japanese garden in Sněžné has been built since 1996 in the spirit of Buddhist and Shinto traditions, so it is gradually being supplemented with typical Asian elements. It has two contrasting parts: a dry one, which resembles a mountain landscape with a river spring and a lake, and a wet one, where running water gives the garden a completely different atmosphere. It is also given character by the stones, including several-tonne boulders made of Svratec Ruhl and the original stone walls, which take the form of a 'Japanese dragon' in the dry part and a 'female dragon' in the wet part. The varied planting makes the garden look like a small arboretum, and you can also see a bonsai exhibition on site or buy bonsai and ceramics outright.

This trip is not recommended for strollers, but will delight garden enthusiasts. It is possible to walk from the hotel to the Japanese Garden,
