Krátká Village Monument Reserve

Highlands

Visit the Krátká Monument Reserve. In the village you will find a mixture of timbered and brick buildings with farm facilities, typical of small mountain homesteads sensitively set in the landscape. You can recognise Roubenky by its cross-shaped lomenica, and most of the houses here date from the 18th to 19th centuries. You can walk along a short nature trail that starts at the fire station and pazderna and leads past farmhouses, cellars, barns, a chapel and an orchard. It also stops at a pond and at the haltýř, a timbered 'fridge' for cooling milk.
