Zelená Hora and Žďár nad Sázavou Castle

Highlands

The pilgrimage church of St. John of Nepomuk on Zelená hora in Žďár nad Sázavou is one of the places that will enchant you at first sight and is rightly a national cultural monument on the UNESCO list. Next door is the castle, which has its roots in the 13th century, when a Cistercian monastery was founded here, and today offers several interesting exhibitions. You can take a look at the story of the Kinský family or explore the modern Museum of the New Generation. Older children and adults will enjoy the trip the most, as the tours are rich in content. However, the surroundings of the Green Mountain and the courtyard of the castle are conveniently accessible, so you can go for a walk even with a stroller.
